Weekend of Museums...

So we went to a museum every day this past weekend. haha. That makes you feel cultured! Here we go with all three...

As mentioned before we went to the museum prehistory. i dont know why I felt it needed to mentioned again.. as it stunk. horribly. but i´m still putting some of the pictures up. maybe you´ll see what I mean haha.

Saturday, Valentines Day, we went to the museum of science Prince Felipe... yea that´s the full name... interesting. but it was AMAZING!! really. it was. it was interactive and fun and we got to play a lot and take lots of really silly pictures. it was good! haha I´m really excited for those pictures to go up. There was a section for health and well being, one for playing with and realizing simple laws of science, one for nobel peace prize winners (kind of boring) a space section and a hearing section and a dna section. the one that surprised me most however was the section filled with stuff about Marvel comics. Seeing all of the American comic book characters in a museum in Spain really puts American influence into perspective.. there´s a lot of it! haha. We took all kinds of silly pictures with the marvel characters. It was fun to be able to play with toys about Spiderman and Iron Man. I was fairly excited about those two. We bought two tickets that day because they were cheaper together- the other is for the aquarium. Apprently it´s huge. ACtually, Esperanza told us that it would take us a full day to see the whole thing. so we are going 2 saturdays from now to spend the day at the aquarium! get excited about those pictures and that post.. I know I´m really excited about going!

Also, for Valentine´s Day I got to video chat with my amazing boyfriend! always fun and it made me really really happy. Also, he just got his passport. So be on the look out.. he may pop up in some pictures from Spain!!! I can hope!! haha :)

Sunday, apparently a lot of museums are free on Sundays so Esperanza insisted that we go to the Ceramics Museum one sunday. so we went this past weekend as she was adament about how we would forget if we did not. It was definitely worth trecking through the nasty rainy weather haha. The building was INCREDBILY ornate to begin with. not to mention everything they had in it. It was crazy how much detail was put into this building that someone apparently lived in at some point. The most interesting thing for me, Picasso actually did some pottery special for this musuem and its on display and amazing. he signed the back of one of the plates. I have a picture of that coming up. After our 2 hours in the ceramics museum we decided to check out the Medieval Market Esperanza was also very adament about. It was intersting... but hard to spend any time there as there were a TON of people there and it was pretty interesting. It was nice to go and get some pictures! haha only like three though. Those will pop up in the album with the Ceramics Museum! After that we had a cute little coffee at the Cafe & Te here with Rhoda and Anna (the awesome friends) and went back to do homework!

haha, so that was the weekend. now on to the week.

Monday was pretty uneventful. Class and other things as normal.

Yesterday however, we went to the theatre to see a play. ¨La vida es sueƱo¨. Life is a dream. It was ... interseting. It is a play from a Shakespearen age writer.. only in Spanish... you can only imagine the language haha. so that was hard enough. not only that it was a modern interpretation.. oh that was fun. there we people playing a mountain, awkward scene Changes, and everything awkward you can imagine. Even really bad canned opera. it was amazing. haha. only not. so i didn´t really understand much other than what the english paper told us it was about- umm..a big conspiracy and a really complicated plot. I dont feel like typing the plot would do it justice. There was some groaping of men, a prince in his underwear, and a lot of sexual innuendo... and they try to say our movies and things are risque... yea... right!

Wednesday.. .also fairly uneventful.. i have successfully given you all a book to read and i am now off to learn about the conquest of america. I´m excited. I felt like it would up your spirits some :) haha

More to come soon... Barcelona in 2 days and only 80 days left as of today!
